Size & Measurement Guide
Vintage pieces were made in a different fashion era—when a size 12 in the 1960s might fit like a size 6 today. That’s why we always recommend focusing on measurements, not labels.
How to Measure Yourself (Quick + Easy)
Grab a soft measuring tape, wear form-fitting clothes (or your usual undergarments), and stand naturally.
Bust: Measure around the fullest part of your chest.
Waist: Find the smallest part of your torso, just above your belly button.
Hips: Measure around the widest part of your hips—usually 7–9 inches below your waist.
Take your time and measure twice if needed. These numbers are your best guide when shopping vintage.
Vintage Brand Sizing at a Glance
Chanel: Runs small. If you're a US 4–6, look for a Chanel 36.
Louis Vuitton: Tends to fit true to size. A US 6 = LV 38.
Gucci: Often runs small. A US 6 is typically an IT 40.
Still unsure? Just message me with your usual size and fit preference (fitted or flowy), and I’ll guide you personally.
A Quick Word on Vintage Fit
Each era had its own silhouette—think tiny waists in the ’50s, power shoulders in the ’80s, or minimalist cuts from the ’90s. Let the decade help guide your expectations, and always feel free to ask for extra measurements or photos.
